Let the guys behind Deaf Rave introduce themselves …

ChinaMan

Born: 26/2/74
Role: DJ

Troi Lee is my real name, but Chinaman is better, because my signing is like Hong Kong Fuey and also my image! I just love the music. While dancing I always feel the buzz – emotional, high and energetic! My greatest achievement was performing at Bristol Festival in front of 25,000 hearing people – it was wikked for the Deaf Rave to learn the curve of the hearing way of music.

I keep performing to get myself to the highest level. I must encourage and motivate deaf performers to take part in the music industry! I want to keep the Deaf community together and to help them.

My best moments were travelling around the world and DJing aboard. It was so cool, dude!

DJ Jeffo

Born: 7/11/78
Role: DJ

My real name is Jefferson Stone. I went to Ovingdean Hall School. I love the music – I grew up to love it and became a natural listener. My role models are DJ EZ, who does garage music, and Liam Howlett from the Prodigy. They are wikked!! I'm so honoured to help Troi Lee out in the Deaf Rave team. That's my highest achievement! I felt so proud when I was DJing at Jama Club in Poland and Deaf Raves in the UK. My dream is to be best deaf DJ in the UK – perhaps the world! And to keep DJing until I retire!

Diamond

Born: 22/04/81
Role: Breakdancer

Roshan is my real name but Diamond is better because it's easier for deaf people. Music is simply my main hobby and I love the vibrations around me – that makes me listen to it and dance my mad breakdancing! My greatest achievement is to do the breakdancing for Deaf Rave events. My dream is to teach children how to breakdance and to make my own business in breakdance classes. The best moments of my life were going on holiday to Australia – it was so wikked and amazing!

Silent Steps

Born: 04/09/05
Role: Breakdancer

Silent Steps is my street name due to my skills in breakdancing. My real name is Denny Bedwell, but I've got three names – the last one is Denny Haywood, which is my stage name. I've been involved with Blue Tour, ZooNation and Atomic Kitten, and I've performed at the London Palladium, on Top of the Pops and on CD:UK. I first appeared on VEE-TV last year and returned last week to perform with singer Semhar Beyene.

I love the music for its beats, effects and vocal. My girlfriend is my best moments of my life! My role model is Robert De Niro. Cool man! My ambition is make lots of money and have a successful life.
