This week Aysin Halil, who is 18 and from London, demonstrated his favourite sign.

'Poetry,' said Robert Frost, 'is what gets lost in translation.' Poetry may not be what's on your mind when you use this sign, but it is a sign that demonstrates how unsatisfactory translation can be. As Aysin explained, the sign expresses the sort of thing you feel if you're late for work, your train is cancelled, and you've just realised that the clocks went back the day before.
