VEE-SIGN: 'Chav'

This week John Garrahan, who studies at University of Central Lancashire, Preston, made his VEE-SIGN selection: ‘chav’.

'You know how different groups have different fashions?' says John. 'I’m going to talk about one group – these hard boys with their shaved heads. They wear sports clothes, like Adidas, hooded jackets, and gold rings everywhere. They think they’re hard, walking down the street – come on! So that’s my VEE-SIGN – "chav"!'
