Bora Tukenmez: Snaps

Born on 27 July 1977, Bora Tukenmez lived in Istanbul, in Turkey, for the first 18 years of his life. He then moved to the USA, studying linguistics and special education for three years, and then on to Norway, where he studied general education. He is currently studying visual communication at Kent Institute of Art and Design.

Bora told VEE-TV that he loves to learn about other people, other cultures and other countries, and that he looks at life as an adventure. He enjoys reading, writing, travelling, going to the pictures, cooking and swimming. He's also interested in the fashion arts and film-making.

Bora's film Snaps is a warm but extraordinary film about the relationship between a simple boy and a mysterious girl. 'A film is the expression of the obsessions of a film-maker or single director,' he says. Bora admires the work of Terry Gilliam, Jean-Luc Godard and Tim Burton.

Bora's dream is to work in the media and entertainment business – and to enjoy the good life.
