Nicky Nicky wants everything yesterday and has a never-ending list of get-rich-quick schemes. He's from a tough family background and is very much a survivor. However hard he tries, he can't help getting drawn into the wrong crowd he will do anything if he thinks it will impress people or make them like him. As Rush begins he is doing community service and threatening to break the conditions and get himself into deeper trouble He is drawn to Mel, who manipulates him easily. Nicky is played by Jonny Nelson, who attended the Mary Hare school for deaf students until July 2000. He then went to work on a voluntary basis with his brother Mark Nelson at Remark!, an independent deaf-run multimedia production company, with the idea of gaining work experience before university. However, he decided to pursue his acting career full-time instead and it was through Remark! that he was introduced to Ray Harrison Graham, the writer of the drama, and got an audition for the part of Nicky his first professional role. |
