Errol

Errol is Troy's hearing uncle and runs the record shop where Troy works part-time. For Troy's sake, Errol has learnt to sign, but he is very aware that he is the exception to the rule in the hearing world. Errol feels that Troy is wasting his time getting involved in Deaf culture, and that Black culture should come first – it's his family who will support him in a hostile world.
