Teresa

A new character in RUSH, Teresa is Nicky's new girlfriend. She is confident, strong-willed, emotional and manipulative. She wants a good time – and she wants it on her terms.

Charly Arrowsmith, who plays Teresa, found it a challenge to play a character so different from herself. 'I found it difficult to wear Teresa's style of clothes! Also in some scenes I felt my own reactions would interfere with Teresa's way of dealing with situations. I had to bring out the wilder side of my emotions.

'I learnt so many new things about acting on screen. For example, when you show emotions, your facial expressions have to be minimal, so it looks real.'

Charly has been studying theatre, arts, education and deaf studies at Reading University. She will graduate this summer, and wants to travel and gain experience working abroad before applying for a full-time job.
