Episode 2

This week we find out what Mel meant when she wrote to Adam that she was 'doing fine': she's picking up wealthy-looking men in hotels, and getting money from them. We see her stealing from one man's wallet, but then she's thrown into a panic by a text message which suggests someone is watching her. When the coast seems to be clear she leaves, only to be stopped outside by hotel security …

'Hotel security' turns out to be Kerry, a former lapdancer from Casey's club, playing a joke. Kerry suggests she and Mel join forces, and they start working together, conning men with bad-luck stories and promises of sex.

Kerry is open about the fact she prefers women to men. She looks out for Mel and seems warm and protective towards her. There is clearly an attraction between them.

Mel is still in touch with Kelly, and the two arrange a night out. They meet at a hotel, along with Kerry. Kerry sees off some persistent footballers in the bar, but then draws Mel aside for a scam involving a man in the bar next-door. But this time they're rumbled and have to run, abandoning Kelly.

Mel and Kerry end up in another bar, where Kerry tells of her dreams of South America, good wine, dancing and sunshine. Mel has dreams too – of believing in something, being a good person and being in love. Kerry suggests Mel is already in love – with her.

Back at the hotel, Kelly goes looking for Mel and Kerry and is tricked into a bedroom, where a bunch of drunk footballers are waiting for her …
