AnnieAnnie loves her work as a teacher. In the first series she became increasingly emotionally attached to her colleague, Michael, not realising he was gay. In series two, we saw a more independent Annie, dedicated to her role as producer of a student production of Cabaret. Annie has always supported her students, particularly the troubled Nicky. Annie is played by Donna Doubtfire, who describes making RUSH as 'challenging as well as fun'. Donna began her acting career at Pegasus Youth Theatre in Oxford, where she met the writer and director of RUSH, Ray Harrison Graham. She has since done a number of theatre and television shows with Ray, as well as mainstream theatre for deaf and hearing audiences. Donna is 37 and lives in Oxford with her two sons. |
