Adam tries to keep Nicky's spirits up with a letter from the group. But Nicky is struggling with his isolation and loneliness.
Mel follows Richard and when she sees him chatting up another blonde in a bar, she interrupts and humiliates him by pretending to be his wife.
Tony invites Michael for a drink and, when he's turned down, runs off with Michael's coat. Michael follows, only for them both to run into a surprised Annie – who offers Tony a mysterious new part in her show.
In the art room, Kelly is painting when in walks Alan, her mother's former
boyfriend, who sexually abused her. Alan's appearance terrifies Kelly,
but he says he means her no physical harm. He has come to persuade her
that she is ruining his and Vicky's lives, that she must 'stop lying'
and say nothing more about him. He is insistent and forceful. Kelly, traumatised,
agrees.
