In the prison, three other inmates rough Nicky up and steal the GameBoy Mel has given him.
Back at the college, Maya enlists Annie's help with her cousin, Anjali, who is deaf and now living in England. Anjali has no sign language and no English. Anjali's brother Anil wonders if he should have let Anjali stay in India, where there was a possible marriage.
Tony turns up in Michael's classroom and teases Michael for ignoring him. He accuses Michael of being uptight.
Troy is entertaining another girlfriend in their flat, so Adam brings
Kelly dinner in the college art studio. Kelly talks about Alan, her mother's
ex- boyfriend, who sexually abused her. For a moment it seems as if Adam
and Kelly might get together but the intimacy is quickly dispelled
by a paint fight.
Kelly continues to struggle to come to terms with what happened to her. If you have any concerns about sexual abuse, sources of help are listed with episode 3.
See episodes 1 and 2 for sources of help and information relating to deaf people in prison, and look out for our feature later in the series.
