Episode 4Having lost his flat in a game of cards, Nigel leaves with his possessions in a laundry bag. Annie visits Nicky in prison. We learn his mother won't be visiting. Nicky reveals that none of his brothers has the same father, and he has no idea who his father is. At the flat, Troy is saying goodbye to another girl. Adam asks him why he's behaving like this, and Troy explains that he met and lost what he believed was the perfect woman in Jamaica, who was Deaf and Black. Adam says there's no such thing as perfection, but Troy counters this by asking why he pursues Kelly. 'Because she's perfect,' says Adam. In class, Michael talks about the way traditional Deaf culture is being threatened by new technologies, which all the students use enthusiastically. Richard's wife receives a text message request for his credit card pin number. What she doesn't realise is that the request comes from Mel and Mel now has all she needs to make Richard's life really difficult.
