Psychologist's View - Secrets
Jade and Tommy have to deal with the morning after in Day Seven...
Last night Tommy and Jade became physically close, and in the morning
after, relations between them are awkward.
Dr Gareth Smith says, "At the early stages of a relationship
the key to success is good communication. Being able to talk freely
and openly about feelings is essential. But unfortunately in the
House privacy is at a minimum."

This leaves Tommy and Jade unable to talk about what happened without
everyone else listening in. Thankfully they both have Tracey to
confide in, which gives them the benefit of an objective opinion,
but does prove to isolate them further from each other.
"Tracey," says Dr Gareth, "indirectly gains from
their difficulties. By acting as their confidant she becomes a keeper
of secrets and therefore becomes closer to them both."
Ultimately, in a house where keeping a secret is impossible, it
seems as long as there is a modicum of trust, relationships will
continue to grow.
