Tommy's Big Job
As the end of the show draws near, Tommy makes big plans for his future...
After partying for a few hours, the housemates settled down at the
dinner table and began discussing their futures.
"Before I left, I remember my mum saying she would cry if
I left [the House] before the ten days were over. She'll be so proud
of me," boasted Tommy.
But Tommy's moment of pride was short-lived as Tracey immediately
cut him down to size. "He needs to get a job!" she snapped.
Defensively, Tommy explained he didn't intend getting a job until
he's finished his education. "I'll get a job when I've got
qualifications," he retorted. "What do you expect me to
do? I'm not going to go out and be a bartender or a cleaner."
Hearing this last remark, Jade was clearly offended at the slur
on bar work - after all, she's a barmaid herself. "How rude!"
she shouted. "[A bar tender] is one of the best jobs you'll
ever have."
But Tommy wasn't convinced. "I want a decent job," he
continued, "not than I'm sayin' your job ain't decent. But
I want a big job
like a lawyer."

Tommy then surprised everyone by revealing he's already taking
a science course at college.
"You never told me that," said busybody Tracey. "Why
didn't you tell me that?"
"I never thought about it before," replied the elusive
Tommy.
Maybe there's more to this young man than we realised
.
