Long Lunch

Long Lunch

Guests joined us at Taste of Birmingham for "The Return of the Long Lunch" on Friday 11th July at Cannon Hill Park.

Amidst the culinary celebrations taking place at Taste 2008, "The Return of the Long Lunch" aimed to bring back the working lunch as a networking event where ideas can be shared and new business opportunities uncovered.

In association with The Birmingham Post, Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future, we brought together the business community at Taste of Birmingham to resurrect the Long Lunch and creative business ideas!

Event schedule was as follows:

Friday 11th July
  • 12pm — Marc Reeves Editor of the Birmingham Post introduction - Why bring back the Long Lunch?
  • 12.55pm — Chris Hughes (Taste Festivals) - food and business - Taste festival going global...
  • 1pm — Interactive food feature, BBQ cook-off - Business Heads versus Head Chefs!
  • 1.15pm — Time to taste signature dishes from restaurants appearing at the festival
  • 2pm — Everyone back at VIP tent for networking
  • 3pm-4pm — Chance to visit Sainsbury's Kitchen, Lavazza Coffee Aroma Zone and Taste Wine plus other features at the show.
