People with disabilities have a struggle to be recognised as individuals with the same range of skills and talents as everyone else. In these six short films, disabled artists and performers have a chance to show their work to a wider public in the mainstream of artistic endeavour. Woven through their achievements we see their effort to overcome other people's perception of them as disabled first and artist second. But instead of succumbing to the stereotypes, they draw on their disabilities as a resource, to produce powerful, challenging and beautiful work.
