Plastic surgery is fast becoming the norm for today's society; with the stigma of surgery quickly diminishing amongst women aged 24 to 45. This billion-pound industry is continuing to expand at a worrying rate, with many men and women not thinking twice before going under the knife. But why do we now rush to the surgeon in a bid to recreate an idealised 'perfect' body or face that we believe will makes us happier, rather than simply accepting and celebrating our own unique individuality? With so many under 25s happily opting to slice and dice their bodies, what hope will there be for them in another 25 years when they must maintain these enhanced body parts?
