Age: 24 From: East London
*Update: Having completed the course with a 90% pass mark, Warren will further his training at another of London's hottest restaurants, before jetting off to complete his overseas scholarship at a top international restaurant.
Tell us a bit about your life before you joined the course?
I did my GCSEs, then had a variety of jobs. I've worked at a money broker's, Selfridges and a pawnbroker's. I had been unemployed for a few weeks when I heard about this project.
Which three words best describe you?
I don't want to answer that.
Have you always wanted to be a chef?
No. I'd wondered about doing a course before at Prue Leith's cookery school but I couldn't afford it.
Where did you do your work experience?
Alastair Little 2, Ladbroke Grove.
What has been the highlight of your training?
The feeling at the end of service (the time when you are serving the public). Afterwards you feel great if it's all gone well.
What has been the worst point?
There haven't been any.
What is the most important thing you have learned on this course?
Good preparation is the key to this industry. We've spent a lot of time learning how to prepare the food, like chopping vegetables, before we start.
What is the hardest bit about the course?
Trying to take everything in. They've rushed us through a lot of information.
What do you most like about being a chef?
That feeling at the end of service.
Do you cook at home? Do you cook for other people now?
I cook for my friends and family slightly more now. I did a dinner party for 10 people the other night and this week I'm cooking for eight people for a friend.
What would be your dream dish now?
In one of Marco Pierre White's books he has several dishes that I would like to have the time, help and money to try. There's a navarin of fish, which is a selection of small fish, that looks fantastic.
How would you describe Jamie Oliver?
Good guy.
