- Geri Halliwell was born 6th August 1972 and grew up in Watford. She has a daughter, Bluebell.
- Before being a Spice Girl she worked as a nightclub dancer in Spain, a TV presenter in Turkey and a glamour model.
- Geri joined the Spice Girls in 1996. Girl power took over the world and the band became one of the most successful girl groups, selling around 55 million records.
- Geri became known as Ginger Spice and was center of attention when it came to her choice of clothing. Her infamous Union Jack dress hit the headlines at the Brits in 97. Other bold outfits include the blue and white cheerleader mini dress and her love for red platform shoes.
- Geri famously auctioned her Spice Girls outfits at Sotheby's in 1998, selling her Union Jack dress for £36,200. Making a total of £146,511 for a cancer charity.
- After leaving the Spice Girls Geri was asked to become a UN Goodwill ambassador.
- Geri works tirelessly for Breast Cancer Care (breastcancercare.org.uk), who made her a Patron in 2000. Geri has donated all the royalties of the hardback version of 'If Only' to the charity and annually launches Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on behalf of the charity. Geri is also an ambassador for The Prince's Trust, Prince Charles' charitable organization.
- In 1998 Geri left the Spice Girls and started her solo career. Her first single Look at Me has sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
- In 1999 she released her first solo album 'Schizophonic' and then her second in 2001 title 'Scream if you Wanna Go Faster'.
- Then came the much-anticipated Spice Girls reunion in 2007. The five stylish girls are back together once again with a sell out tour around the world. Their tour costumes where designed by the glamorous Robert Cavalli, all inspired by their original look back in the 90s.
- More recently, Geri's become a children's author we'd love to know the story behind her new book based on a fashion designer.
