Labour brought in tuition fees and they will carry on with them if they stay in government. They will also raise the cost of tuition through top-up fees from £1,125 per year to up to £3,000 per year. Maintenance grants will not come back.

The Conservatives would scrap tuition fees, increase the amount of student loan you could borrow and bring back the maintenance grant to help out students from a less well-off background.

If the Liberal Democrats get into government, they have promised to completely abolish ALL tuition fees. You won’t pay anything either during or after your course – just like it is in Scotland now.
