What you can do

We all have links with people around the world who we’ll never meet but whose lives are closely interwoven with ours. Some of the world’s poorest people make some of our most expensive clothes. Top-of-the-range computer systems are assembled in poor rural areas of China, Mexico and the Philippines.

Read labels before you buy and start shopping with power! There are now hundreds of items you can buy from supermarkets and other retailers who are committed to fairtrade products. Look out for the label when you shop and help small farmers grow with a better price for their produce.
