  Matt James, The City Gardener, returns to work his green-fingered magic on another set of neglected, dark and dank outdoor spaces. Having proved in his first series that, with a new approach and some inspirational, easy-to-adopt guidance it is possible to create a haven in the most unlikely of spots, Matt moves on to the next stage in his second series. Matt focuses on harmonising the gardens with the owners' interior house styles, complementing their designs inside with the outside and maximising the value of the garden by considering its appearance from the sitting-room, kitchen or bedroom window - all the year round. Matt has the mammoth task of sorting out a large, desolate back garden in Leicester, complete with derelict air raid shelter. With the help of an army of friends and a mini digger, the garden is transformed into a tranquil, relaxing retreat perfect for a bit of yoga.
