Barefaced
and apprehensive
Ally Edgar
is the 37-year-old head of a successful construction recruitment business
in Newcastle. She firmly believes that you only have five seconds to create
the right impression and has been wearing make-up since her teenage years.
And not only at work: she always wears make-up on holiday and in the gym.
Her friends
(and ex-husband) say that she looks great without make-up, but she isn't
convinced. She's worried that not wearing it will seriously affect her
confidence in her professional and personal life. She wonders how she'll
cope winning new business, around a table of strange men, and also going
out in the evening with her female friends.
