19. NEW YORK - 885,000 visitors
At Number 19, it’s a star from the big and small screen the Big Apple. More than 800,000 of us chased own movie dream last year and forked out around £800 for the privilege.

18. CRUISE - 940,000 visitors
Port Out Starboard Home, Posh With A Capital P.O.S.H.
But in fact cruises are not nearly as posh as they used to be. They're packages nowadays. The average cost of a 7 day break is £1,100 and nearly a million of us booked into these massive floating hotels last year.

Crystal clear sea and white sandy beaches, and nearly everyone speaks English. No wonder so many of us are dazzled by The Caribbean. The fact that it's Michael Winner's spiritual home doesn't seem to put us off.
