Those essential jobs you just didn’t know existed

Heritage Management Officer

Each time a site is proposed for development a Heritage Management Officer goes to the site and makes sure that there is nothing of archaeological significance that needs excavating or preserving there. They write reports and make recommendations on what should be done.

Get into it by studying Archaeology at university and doing a postgrad in archaeology or heritage management.
