Tuesday 16, 23 and 30 March at 9pm
Abusive, arrogant, foul-mouthed and ill-disciplined. That's how six unruly British teenagers are described by their parents. But the kids get the shocks of their lives when their parents send them for 50 days with a tough American wilderness camp in Utah run by youth-help organisation RedCliff Ascent. It will be the challenge of a lifetime, but it could also be the one chance for Dan, Tom, and James, all 16, to win back their lives from the brink of drug-fuelled disaster, for 17-year-olds Charlie and Fran to gain control of their destructive rages and for Rachael, 17, to stop her binge drinking.
Over four episodes the Brat Camp series follows their every move, from a painful separation from their parents to their struggles to cope with being thrust from their comfortable homes to a cut-off, outdoor existence subject to no-nonsense controls in sub-zero temperatures.
The website reveals more about their backgrounds, what makes RedCliff Ascent work, some of your very own survival tips, some ace teenager arts and sports schemes in the UK and some inside stories on famous names who have risen above childhood traumas.
