We stayed here for a week in October 2003 and would like to confirm everything that the owner said to you on your programme, Perfect Getaway. The hotel is absolutely stunning, staff unobtrusive and yet attentive, food wonderful, gardens and pool are spectacular, bedrooms and decor of the hotel is glorious. In fact, it would have been a perfect holiday had it not rained for most of the week.

As a result we were not able to fully appreciate the amenities of the hotel to their fullest. Nevertheless, it meant that we used our hired car to tour the island, and what a beautiful island it is. We will certainly go back to Majorca and will return to Ca's Xorc.

Have not stayed at hotel but have eaten at restaurant 3 times. Every time absolutely superb food, fabulous setting with breathtaking views. Very peaceful. Excellent staff. Beautiful hotel. Can't fault it. Only negative point is that it's located at the top of a very windy steep road, but then the views are well worth it. Overall 10/10.

It is found half way between Soller and Deia in former olive and orange groves about a kilometre up a mountain road. There are no good beaches on this side of the Island just a small pebble cove at Cala de Deia. Puerto De Soller does have a beach but as it is busy with boats it is not really the place to go for a swim.

We were shown to our deluxe room and were slightly disappointed as it was very rustic, but still charming with a good view from the rather small balcony and an excellent bathroom. We had a large cast iron bed prettily dressed and good storage. In 2002 we stayed at the Ca's Puers, in the room Alfabia which is simply gorgeous less expensive and comes highly recommended. We were expecting the deluxe rooms at Cas Xorc to be of a similar standard, hence our disappointment.

The grounds and gardens were lovely with wide ranging views to the sea and the mountains. There is an outside bar, a state of the art deck line swimming pool, many shady places to sit and lots of sun loungers. A lovely bubble pool is available on the top terrace. Breakfast was no more than good served on the pretty terraces. Dinner was good if expensive with an excellent choice of wines, but by far the best meal we tried was at lunch time.

6/7 out of 10
