Christian Ferré's talent has married the best of France and Morocco. His sense of space and volume is impeccable, his eye for detail unerring.
His pool is one of the most beautiful ever: pure form, like a hidden abstract painting. And the colours... Kaïss is red, true Marrakech red. Then the patio garden bathes you in cool green light, punctuated by the quintessential Majorelle blue of its paintwork. Everywhere, running water inspires a multitude of birds.
Each bedroom is touched with personality, decorated with a few choice hangings and objects so that, again, you feel privy to a secret meeting of tradition and modernity. You're surrounded by subtle colour, sensual texture - with the bathrooms shining like little jewels against a velvet background.
Christian is the most discreet of hosts, offering local knowledge and intelligent conversation but only when you want them, happy that you appreciate his work of love.
Two opulent salons, one small and French, the other magnificently oriental, are furnished with a tasteful discernment and enough original pieces to keep you enthralled for a week.
The courtyard turns to lantern-lit magic in the evening, the terrace has a colonnaded menzeh for refined dinners, the gym is green marble. Exceptional.
