In the Summer of 2003, the Project advertised in the architectural and regional press for architects and landscape designers who wanted to participate in the regeneration of Castleford.
After their selection by a local panel, a shortlist of designers were invited to submit initial design ideas for projects which were exhibited in the town in the Project's regenerated shop. The exhibition was visited by almost a thousand locals.
