Successful and innovative partnership working is a key hallmark of the Castleford Project. Different funding, advisory and community organisations have come together to support the achievement of the Project schemes. With so much of the Project now achieved the original Castleford Project Steering Group, has become part of the Castleford Town Centre Partnership, and is chaired by Wakefield Councillor Mark Burns-Williamson. This forum continues to monitor progress on the remaining Project work, chiefly the new pedestrian river bridge.
