10 Years Younger
Carole
Carole has a makeover!

First poll age(before makeover) = 53
Final poll age (after makeover) = 42
Real Age = 47

Grandma Carole is not just low maintenance, she's no maintenance. Her face hasn't seen a brush of make-up in years, and she admits to not having seen a professional hairdresser in years. This is unglamour taken to extremes. Add to that her smoking, sunbathing and lack of skin care habits, and you've got a case in need of help. It's time to bust the wrinkles and inject some glamour back into Carole's image. Read about her treatments below.

Cosmetic Treatments
Mr Jan Stanek, Surgical Aesthetics
  • Full face lift
  • Endoscopic brow lift
  • Upper/lower blepharoplasty
Dentistry
Dr Surinder Hundle, Dentist
  • Hygiene
  • Upper veneers and crowns
Hair
Andrew Barton, Stylist at Saks Hair & Beauty
  • To create a more youthful and fashionable look for Carole, Andrew injected some colour, volume and style into her fine hair that was flat and drab.
  • Andrew first dyed Carole’s hair with an overall honey blonde wash; this warmed up the hair colour before adding highlights.
  • Applying contrasting blonde highlights to back-combed hair, gave Carole a softer, more textured look.
  • Andrew then gave Carole a textured, choppy cut to create the illusion of thickness and volume, finishing off the look with a wispy fringe that framed Carole’s face.
Make-up
Ruby Hammer, Make-up Artist
  • As Carole wasn’t used to wearing or applying make-up, Ruby kept the look light and natural.
  • First, to tackle the dark circles around the eyes, Ruby applied concealer to the inner and outer corners of the eyes, and using a brush, placed concealer under the eye as close to the eye as possible. Then to define it all, Ruby ‘patted’ the concealer with her finger, as the heat in the hand helps to dispense the cover-up evenly for a flawless finish.
  • Ruby then placed a small amount of foundation in her palm and applied the make-up with a brush, by lightly skimming the face. Using a light reflecting oil based foundation can help hide wrinkles, but only if applied properly. Using too much foundation can build up in the lines and actually accentuate them.
  • Ruby finished off the look with mascara to open up the eyes and a medium coloured lip gloss, to create the illusion of fuller lips!
