Episode 1 Winter Sun Bikini Special: Heather Williams has a makeover!

In the years following her wedding, Heather ballooned from a size 8 to a size 20. In 2003 Heather hit the gym and lost five stone but that's left her with a whole new set of body image problems. Where once there was flab, there are folds - excess skin is simply hanging from her tiny four foot eleven frame and she looks like a deflated balloon.

And that's just for starters. A sun bed has been a permanent fixture in her home for the past 20 years and that passion for rays - along with a 30-a-day cigarette habit and a manager's job in a central London hospital - has left Heather with the facial features of a 60 year old.

TOP TIP: As we age, skin tones get lighter. therefore hair colour can get lighter too. Use varied and warm colours to create a natural and more youthful result.

Make-up

Prepare the skin with a tinted moisturiser. Choose one with a high sun protection factor.
Use creams, in thin layers as this will also provide a reason level of water resistance. TIP: Don’t apply powders over creams.
Invest in a waterproof mascara. Alternatively buy a fixer to apply over normal mascara and make it waterproof.
Tint eyelashes when going abroad. It will remove the need for mascara and eyeliner.
Don’t forget to wear a sun protective lip gloss too, as lips are one of the most vulnerable areas to sunburn.
