Care worker Dee is desperately in need of some care and attention herself. Describing her face as having more lines than British Rail, Dee is under no illusion about being past her best. Her 35 years of smoking 20 fags a day has resulted in gum disease so severe that most of her teeth have dropped out, and the rest had to be pulled. It was the turning point that turned Diva Dee into Dreary Denise.
10 Years of wearing ill-fitting dentures has really dented her confidence and the once glamorous Dee, who bought a new party frock every week, subsided into a look that’s all about functional clothes.
