While some women were dreaming of a little something from Prada, Gucci or Dolce & Gabbana, top of Angela Mattock’s Christmas list was a brand new face.

The 42-year-old granny from Doncaster aged prematurely with a shockingly early menopause at 27. An addiction to cigarettes, sunbathing and a staggering 20 cups of dehydrating coffee a day hadn’t helped.

Not surprising then that her confidence had disappeared and sent her on a downward spiral. When people started mistaking her dad for her husband, Angela begged for an urgent date with the 10 Years Younger team of age-defying experts.

In general, Andrew liked Angela’s colour but wanted to warm it a little and so opted for some copper and red highlights to the front.

Because Angela’s hair is so dark, Andrew applied a lightener to strip some of the colour before he was able to apply the colour.

A recessed area around the front of her hair was aging Angela so Andrew added a fringe to cover this whilst keeping the length around the back for a youthful cut.

TOP TIP: Coloured highlights can instantly update a tired look.

Make-up

Ruby Hammer Make-up Artist

After going through such an early menopause Angela’s skin had been starved of moisture and firmness for far too long – Ruby recommended the use of a Collagen boosting serum followed by a rich moisturiser

Ruby used a product on Angela’s upper lip that targets vertical fine lines, upper lip hair and pigmentation

TOP TIP: when using concealer to hide under eye circles don’t opt for pale colour, use a pink based shade to counteract the blue of the bags

TOP TIP: Lipstick is back, so go for it! Great new formulations and soft colours mean you will look bang on trend for Christmas.
