Episode 16 - Linda Strallen – Summer Special

School secretary Linda Strallen is the dress size many women would diet for – a tiny size 8.
But rather then show off her petite figure, Linda chose to wear children’s clothes – boys' clothes.
Linda’s hobbies are adventurous climbing and scuba diving but she had no sense of adventure about her appearance. She was just letting herself go and ignoring her grey hair, stained teeth and wrinkles.
Fortunately Miss Hambleton-Jones stepped in: a nip here, a tuck there, and wardrobe, teeth and hair overhauls; but Linda struggled to see the transformation.
So next for the chop were her schoolmarm specs. Linda hadn't been able to see clearly without them for 15 years. Fifteen minutes of optical zapping opened up her eyes to her brand new, more youthful world.

Hair
Andrew Barton - Stylist at Saks Hair & Beauty
- The silver colouring of Linda’s hair was really aging her and didn’t work with her skintone or the darkness of her eyebrows.
- Andrew decided to colour her hair blonde in order to add interest and texture.
- Andrew loved the shape of Linda’s face and decided to take her hair much shorter to show it off. The short textured cut gave Linda a much younger and fresher look.
Make-up

- Ruby began by applying a liquid foundation with a matt finish to give her a flawless base to work on.
- Linda's newly groomed eyebrows were finished off with a pale colour powder applied along the brow line.
- TOP TIP: To emphasise your eyes, apply a thin line of eyeshadow underneath your lower lashes. This will work really well with your mascara and help define your eyes.
- Ruby finished off the look with that all important mascara. Ruby believes that if there is only one thing you do in the morning, it should be to put on your mascara – it takes so little time to apply but makes a huge difference.
