Episode 15 – Liz Tewnion - Summer Special
Poll Age (before makeover) - 59
Poll Age (after makeover) - 45
Real Age - 51
Her friends and family had noticed the change – and Liz was determined to do something about it.
It wasn’t just her neck. Years of taking steroids for a liver disease had left her skin puffy and wrinkled. Her teeth were discoloured and she had some clumsy dentures.
But it was Liz’s wardrobe which really showed how bad she felt about herself. Dozens of boring shirts and dull trousers meant that Liz was fast becoming the invisible woman.
Nicky Hambleton-Jones and the gang set to work. A facelift took care of the turkey neck and jowls. Dental work left her with an even set of pearly whites.
Andrew worked wonders with the already short hair that Liz sported and convinced her to go a dazzling red.
Nicky then had the fun task of introducing Liz to colour and prints – a combination Liz hadn’t ever dared try.

Andrew Barton - Stylist at Saks Hair & Beauty
Liz has had the same hairstyle for over 10 years. Andrew chose to bring the bland, boring and colourless style up to date by adding texture and colour to give Liz a sexier and glamorous look to match her new found confidence.
- Leaving the length short Andrew chopped into Liz’s hair to give her texture and cut the front short to compliment Liz’s eyes. He chose to add red tones to add vibrancy to Liz’s natural colour.
- Andrew’s top colour tip for redheads – if you have an olive skin tone mahogany tints work well. If you have freckles and pale skin softer coppery reds will compliment your colouring.
Make-up
Ruby Hammer - Make-up Artist
Liz has only every used neutral colours. Ruby wants to give her some vitality back to compliment her new hair and wardrobe.
- First off Ruby uses a foundation to enhance Liz’s colour – use a brush for a soft even finish.
- Liz has deep set eyes, to enhance them Ruby uses eyebrow colour on her brows. Top tip, never use dark eye shadows if you have deep set eyes, stick to natural tones.
- To finish Ruby uses some blusher and lipstick to complete the look.
