Charity manager Ruth Howard has never worn a bikini in her life. No surprise really, as she's had a lifelong battle with her weight.
Ruth, 34, from Sapcote in Leicestershire had been overweight as a child and reached a massive 19.5 stone after her second pregnancy.
Dramatic weight loss surgery has reduced her body by a whopping 9.5 stone and she's now a sexy size 10. Amazing for a woman who used to buy size 24 clothes. But was she happy? Of course not.
The surgery had left her with folds of unsightly skin, which meant she still wouldn't consider wearing a cossie or anything which showed an inch of flesh. Her fashion sense was stuck with the fat person that Ruth used to be.
More surgery for Ruth meant that the excess skin was removed and she is now the proud possessor of a flat, smooth tummy. Her varicose veins were removed and a new haircut, new teeth and new clothes resulted in a new and very happy Ruth.

Andrew felt that Ruth's hair was dry and damaged and lacked style.
He recommended a real colour boost to give her a new trendy look and chose a dark brown to compliment her stunning blue eyes and natural skin tone.
Andrew cut Ruth's hair short, with lots of texture throughout to enhance her jaw line and features.
Make-up

Ruby gave Ruth some top tips on how to use cleaners and moisturisers before applying foundation.
Using all of Ruth's own make-up Ruby showed her how to achieve a natural look without being too heavy handed.
She chose plum eye shadows to compliment Ruth's blue eyes and gave her a younger, youthful makeover.
