10 Years Younger
Sarah before and after her makeover
Episode 1 – Christmas Special

Dr Sarah Widd has a makeover

Guessed age (before makeover): 63

Guessed age (after makeover) :47

Real age : 56

Dr Sarah Widd has been too busy living her hectic lifestyle to spend any time on herself. She’s not visited a hair salon for nearly 35 years and even opted to have all of her top teeth pulled out in order to avoid continuous visits to the dentist. She’s spent her life being "absolutely jumbo sized" but has finally lost 8 stone whilst training for the London marathon. Unfortunately, she’s been left with baggy, saggy skin and deep wrinkles aged even further by years spent living in Africa without using any form of sun protection.

As a result of this life-long neglect her fat free face needs dragging back into shape to match her go-getting personality. "I think I’d probably like my face re-surfaced... Polyfilla would do!", says Sarah.

Now it’s time for this marathon running doctor to get a taste of her own medicine, and experience the 10 Years Younger treatment.

Sarah had the following treatments and wore the following outfits to complete her new look:

Treatments

Cosmetic Surgery

Mr Jan Stanek Surgical Aesthetics

  • Upper/lower Blepharoplasty (excess skin from eyelids and eye bags removed)
  • Chemical Peel
  • Face and Neck Lift

  • Dentistry

    Dr Surinder Hundle, Dentist

  • Implants
  • Ceramics
  • Crowns
  • Veneers

  • Hair

Andrew Barton Stylist at Saks Hair & Beauty

  • For a new sharp look, Andrew opted for a classic bob style with shaping to the front.
  • A single shade of colour can sometimes look harsh, so Andrew chose a pallet of rich autumnal tones - chestnut, bronze and copper – to give Sarah a lovely warm look.
  • TOP TIP: For a low maintenance cut, choose a classic such as the bob as the classic styles are often those which are the easiest to maintain.

  • Make-up

    Ruby Hammer Make-up Artist

  • Going for the natural look doesn’t mean ‘no make-up’. Ruby created a soft, natural look that is so quick to achieve, even Sarah can manage it!
  • Ruby chose a good multifunctional base that acts as foundation, powder and concealer in one. This will really save Sarah some time when she’s putting on her make-up in the morning.
  • TOP TIP: Using a light coloured powder to highlight the natural shape of your eyebrows will really frame your face.
  • It’s hard to believe, but Sarah’s great look involved using only 5 products – a multifunctional base, powder for the eyebrows, mascara, blusher and lipstick.
