Saab - Move Your Mind
Visionaries

Saab has chosen the following six people as worthy examples of modern day visionaries, all of whom embody the principles that Saab holds in high esteem. All six are independent thinkers who are unafraid to challenge convention and stand up for their beliefs. Their dedication has meant they are successfully changing long-held perceptions and making the world that little bit better. For more information on Saab’s vision, please click here »

BanksyHis identity may still be a closely guarded secret but the UK’s favourite street artist has done more than anyone else to make graffiti an acceptable art form. His distinctive, humorous work, daubed onto walls from Bristol (his presumed home town) to London and as far afield as New Orleans and the Israeli West Bank barrier, captures the mood of a generation. Some of his most notable works include the Pulp Fiction pose with bananas, a sweeping chambermaid, an anarchist rat and two policemen kissing.

Always divisive, he is equally lauded for being Britain’s greatest modern artist and vilified for encouraging vandalism. Never one to shy away from controversy, his work has a distinct political lean - usually anti-capitalism and anti-war - that embodies Bansky’s strong, often contentious views.

Like many visionaries, Banksy has totally changed the way millions view graffiti. His work is not just mindless scribbles; it is witty, iconic social commentary. He has turned preconceived ideas of art and graffiti on their head and as such, is a worthy addition to this list.
