Decide where you want your parting.
-
Take a small line of hair from either side of the parting.
-
Hold the piece of hair in one hand. With the other hand, comb hair down in a c shape using a small thin bristle brush. At the same time pack the hair down.
-
Work your way around the parting in a horseshoe shape.
-
Now give it a spritz with some hairspray.
-
Take another line of hair underneath the first one. Repeat steps 3-5 and give it another spray.
-
Once you’ve gone as far as you can, tease the hair and shape a style using your fingers. Don’t forget to keep spritzing with the hairspray!

If you’re looking for a quick root-lift that will give you bags of body, take small lines of hair no wider than your curler.
-
Pull the hair right over in the opposite direction – this will gives you lots of lift at the roots
-
Spritz the roots of your hair with a fine spray of water and hairspray.
-
Roll down your hair towards your scalp, and press the roller onto the hair as you go. You can put them in as randomly as you like – be creative!
-
Now grab your hairdryer and blast the hair until it’s hot. This will help the hairspray fix the look.
-
Leave it to cool down.
-
Now pull the rollers out and run your fingers through your hair to style. Give it a final spritz with the hairspray for extra hold.

After blowdrying your hair using mousse and a protector spray, tong your whole head with the tongs on a medium heat.
-
Shake your hair out with your fingers, then spritz with some hairspray.
-
Gently smooth the back of your hair to one side, and clip it down and over using the grips.
-
Once you’ve got your hair pulled over to one side, pin it down.
-
Tease the tail with your fingers to fluff it up.
-
Now twist the tail back on itself in a swirl and pin down. Tease and shape.
-
Break up the top of hair so that it's not too rigid. Pull small pieces out to give it a slightly disheveled, not-tried-too-hard look.

Hold the eyelashes up to your eye so that you can measure the correct length for the lash strip. Cut the excess from the outer edge of the strip.
-
Apply a line of glue to the whole length of the lashes strip, making sure that there is plenty at each end.
-
Looking down into your small mirror, hold the strip of lashes with the tweezers, slightly raise your eyebrows and place the strip close to your own lashes.
-
Remove the cotton from the end of the cotton bud. Then, using the end of the bud, press the strip against the base of your own lashes on to the skin.
-
Give the glue plenty of time to stick fast. Then, placing your finger along your eyelid on top of the lashes, apply your mascara – pressing your two strips of lashes (natural and falsies!) together with upward strokes.
-
Run your eyeshadow or a liquid liner along the base of your lashes to finish, although this may not be necessary depending on the expertise of your application!

Gently prep your skin with a tinted moisturiser or foundation. Apply concealer (if needed) and give your face a light dusting of powder.
-
Using a medium blusher brush, begin to contour your face. Start under your cheekbones, then around your jaw line before moving on to your temples. Don't touch the centre of your face just yet.
-
Repeat Step 3 in order to slowly build up some colour, and then start blending the blusher into the centre of your face. This will leave you with a beautifully contoured face that has shape and depth – rather than one ‘block’ of colour that covers everything.
-
Using small dustings of blusher, blend a shimmery colour under and up onto the apple of your cheeks.
-
Finish off with your usual eye shadow, mascara and eyebrow make-up.

Gently prep around your eyes with concealer, then draw inside and around your eyes with a soft black pencil. Using your finger, softly smudge the pencil around your eyes.
-
Now pat a long-lasting cream eye shadow over your eyelid in a dark metallic grey shade.
-
Apply some dark silver powder eye shadow onto the cream base.
-
Top it off with a touch of sparkly lip gloss on your eyelids. Really!
-
Allow the lip gloss to crease the eye shadow, then add lashings of mascara to play off the strong eyes.
