Teens on Trial

Aims

The programme aims to give teenagers the opportunity to:

  • Discuss freely how they view aggressive behaviour
  • Explore the effects of aggression on the defendant and her victims
  • Have the responsibility to decide on an appropriate punishment for aggressive and anti-social behaviour
  • Gain an insight into the how legal system views anti-social behaviour

Learning outcomes

  • The case will illustrate how quickly and easily excessive drinking and anti-social behaviour can become habitual
  • The legal consequences of aggressive behaviour
  • An understanding of how and why teenagers behave in an anti social manner
