Lisa Rogers
In my self-portrait I wanted to show the real me, which I dont think is the me that
the public perceive. What the public usually see is myself made up, so in my self-portrait Im seen
taking off my make-up and showing the real me underneath. Im also painting my body
and leaving an imprint of the real me. The notion of doing a self-portrait has allowed
me to be myself in a way that my normal job doesnt, which is quite refreshing, but
also scary at the same time. Itss saying really I am like everybody else, but my self-portrait
is just me, it cant be anyone else.
