Dyson engineers used minimal market research and then only to support their ideas, not to change or influence their work. They were already convinced people would want a bigger capacity washing machine that washed clothes cleaner, faster and more efficiently. Engineers did look at how often people washed clothes, the average washload and type of washing people did. They also asked groups of people, with a mix of backgrounds, ages and sexes, what they would want from a washing machine of the future. |
