Three stories of young people
who have decided that they want to engage with life in their communities.
In driving forward their schemes, the young people come into contact
with community action, politics, policing, democracy and finance. |

Programme 1 - Kyle's Story
Sixteen-year-old Kyle Linturn's campaign to get a skate park built
in the isolated rural community where he lives. Kyle has almost single-handedly
raised the £74,000 needed to bring the project to life and in
the process has had to combat apathy and even opposition from local
authorities and decision-makers.

Programme 2 - Jenna's Story
Follows 16-year-old Jenna Boyce, a member of the youth parliament,
as she attempts to get the issues raised by young people in her deprived
home town considered by senior police officers and council leaders.
We follow Jenna as she arranges a 'Speak Out' where the voices of
young people are heard. |

Programme 3 - Asif's handing out cash
Asif Khan has a dream job. He gives out money. As a member of YouthBank
in Bradford, Asif sits in judgement on applications for schemes that
will improve the community. The decisions are tough but the rewards
are great. |
