I'm found out I'm HIV positive. Do I have to tell people?
Whether to tell, and who to tell, are two very difficult decisions. Your partner, if you have one, deserves to be told as soon as possible, and you should start practising safe sex straight away. It can be very hard to know whether to tell family and friends. Counselling, offered when you were diagnosed, can help you weigh up your choices, and you'll also find more information and help here.
