4. Launch!

1. To get your website onto the Internet, you need to find a location on the Internet where it can sit. You can:

• Get free space from free hosting companies
• Borrow space from your school, college or work
• Pay for space from an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
• If your parents have got Internet access at home, they probably got some free hosting space from their ISP. Ask them if you can use that!

3. Once you have some web space and a domain name, all that remains is to copy your files from your computer to the Internet. This is called 'uploading' and uses a process called FTP. It sounds complicated but really all it involves is copying your site from one computer to another using an FTP program.
