Webit Why bother? Help Make a website now
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4

3. Make your site

To make your website you can either:

  1. Start from scratch using a free text editor (like SimpleText or Notepad), or
  2. Use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get, pronounced 'whizzy-wig') program like Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver to help you.

If you tremble at the thought of learning a computer language (even a simple one) use a WYSIWYG editor!

Text, text, text, text, text, text, text... bored yet?! Inject some life into your site by adding pictures, sounds, video, forms and links to other websites.

Okay smart arse - want to do some really fancy stuff? Then find out how you can make your site stand out from the crowd with interactivity, animation, games and stuff that's actually useful rather than gimmicky.
