Hosting space

To get your website on the Internet, you need to find a location on the web where it can sit. Web space can be rented or provided for free. There are a few options:

• Use the free space provided by one of the free hosting companies
• Use space on a server run by your school or work
• Pay to rent space for your website on a server run by an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
• If you have 'always-on' broadband at home, you can host your site on your own computer
