Pharrell Williams/The Neptunes
Emerged 2000
Influence Still the safest bet and quintessential
ingredient for a hit record today, hip hop's unshakeable
virtuoso Pharrell and his co-conspirator Chad Hugo have
consistently prescribed more hits for other artists this
millennium than Gotti did in his whole life.
Fact! Back in the krush-groovin' 80s, teenagers Pharrell and Timbaland used to be in a rap group together called SBI (Surrounded by Idiots).
