Mike knows people on the hip hop scene around Leeds and Bolton but doesn't
know any producers or anyone who could take his talent on to the next level. He
loves battling and has travelled around the country, but admits that London
was scary, especially UMF and the 8 Mile championships at Elephant and Castle.
He reckons being nervous is part of the fun though.
He started rapping aged 20 in 1999 and became a member of hip hop crew Miniature
Heroes, based in Bolton. After that disbanded he started rapping on his own and
took the Northwest title in this year's Battle Scars
Originally from Bolton, he left to go to Uni in Leeds and he started an events
management degree. On a second year placement at a catering company he decided
that it wasn't for him so he left and got a job instead. But he's ready to drop
his job at the drop of a hat if the MCing takes off.
After four years in a student type house in Hyde Park with his assorted DJ type mates,
he's about to move back to Bolton to live with his girlfriend Emma who he's been with
for two years.
